DESCRIPTION

Amazon Mexico is seeking a strategic, analytical and highly motivated individual to lead several complex projects that will fuel Amazon MX growth for the next 5-10 years. You will identify, design, develop and implement complex projects that will expand Amazon growth. The Sr PM, Strategic Projects is a well-rounded PM, with experience developing and implementing complex projects in multiple areas (Sales, Marketing, Supply planning, Revenue Management). This individual will lead cross functional teams and will be the coordinator between the Consumer organization and the Tech organization. This person will help prioritize among Consumer projects with balancing between impact and implementation feasibility, and always ensuring that Amazon MX projects add to the long-term strategy. To achieve our business objectives, you will work closely with local and international teams including Central Teams, Tech teams, Consumer, Legal and Finance. This position reports to the Head of Strategic Project, Mexico.

Key job responsibilities
Lead several channel expansion efforts
Recommend and automate optimization projects
Lead customer downstream value initiatives
Review, assess, and prioritize project pipeline and market opportunities
Ensure successful implementation of key strategic initiatives


A day in the life
The position is for an individual contributor that is able to coordinate and influence multi-functional and tech teams located in different countries, and reports to the Head of Strategic Project, Mexico.

We are looking for a leader with super-powers in analytics and getting things done (a not-that-frequent combination!). S/he should be a self-starter that thrives in ambiguity, with the ability to think big, and the willingness to roll up sleeves to operate in a fast-paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of completion of studies required plus at least 8+ years of professional background
- Fluent in both, English and Spanish

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
