Sr. Product Manager Technical - Pricing, US Hardlines Retail Operations & Initiatives

The Pricing and Analytics group on Amazon Retail Operations and Initiatives team is looking for a talented Senior Pricing Manger - Technical to drive world-class analysis and guide strategic business decisions affecting billions of dollars sale across millions of products.
Key job responsibilities
To succeed in this role you should be passionate about working with large datasets and be someone who loves to bring data together to answer key business questions and translate the data into meaningful insights. You should have a solid understanding of pricing theories and practices, data mining and an ability to use the data in financial and statistical modeling. In this role, you will define and understand key business questions related to amazon's Retail and 3rd party Pricing strategies and relationships, manage efforts to analyze data to answer those questions and play an integral role in strategic decision-making and building the right technology and solutions. We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful candidate has excellent teamwork skills, outstanding business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities:
- Gather data and perform sophisticated analytical exercises.
- Employ data mining, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to capture important trends and create relevant measurement dashboards.
- Drive business decision-making between Product and Tech teams based on analytical findings.
- Work with various stakeholders to understand drivers, goals, and actionable outcomes using analytics.
- Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.

Our team manages Pricing strategies and optimization across a very large assortment of products spanning Electronics, Auto, Home, Furniture, Tools, Toys & Office products.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
