Do you want to shape the future of Amazon’s consumer business in Europe? Amazon is looking for a Senior Product Manager (m/f/d) Shopping Experience for our Insights and Innovation team, who incorporates profound expertise in user experience and website usability, analytical skills, and the ability to lead complex projects across teams and country boarders.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who can identify growth areas, quantify business impact, innovate to unlock opportunities, and deliver strong results with limited resources. Your primary focus will be to analyze large data pools to identify and solve customer pain points, collaborating with global product teams to lead and accelerate initiatives that excite our customers. Located within the DE organization, you'll drive German and European programs with EU or WW scope, innovating in product development and conducting your own data research and analytics. The ideal candidate possesses a high degree of entrepreneurial drive, proactively engages with diverse stakeholders, and excels in navigating ambiguous and dynamic environments. You should have a strong track record of delivering projects in a data-driven setting, a solid technical toolkit including SQL, and superior stakeholder management skills. Effective communication with senior management, tech and non-tech teams, and the ability to influence direction and decisions at all levels are crucial. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity and independence, as you'll be at the forefront of innovation, finding and scaling new ideas and solutions on behalf of our customers.
Key job responsibilities
• Create innovative solutions using data and research to address wider challenges and opportunities in your organization with new products or product features
• Build mechanisms to monitor and improve customer satisfaction on Amazon's website
• Dive deep into relevant insights to derive the overall strategy, targets and specific actions to increase the engagement and satisfaction of our customers
• Launch projects and initiatives to improve CX, targeting customers in Germany and beyond
• Work with central business, science and engineering teams to identify and implement CX improvements across Amazon’s service offering
• Partner with international teams to jointly work on projects, expand the geographical scope of initiatives and share best practices
• Monitor project progress and success; report the project status towards Senior Management and key EU / worldwide stakeholders
A day in the life
Your focus is to identify opportunities to solve customer pain points by analyzing large data pools and deriving conclusions, to collaborate with product teams around the globe to lead and accelerate initiatives to excite our customers. Your team is located in the DE organization, but your projects will have EU or WW scope. You will drive German and European programs, innovate in product development and drive your own data research and analytic. You are able to communicate effectively with senior management, tech and non-tech teams, and influence direction and decisions at all levels. Being successful will mean to deal with ambiguity since you are where innovation starts; we count on our talent to find and scale new ideas and solutions on behalf of our customers.
About the team
DE Insights & Innovation is a central organization under the DE Country VP, owning country wide functions and programs. You will be joining the Homepage & Onsite Experience team, the central owner of the cross-site CX on the Amazon.de website. Our team owns the Amazon Homepage, promotion of seasonal events, such as Valentine’s Day, and initiatives to improve the customer experience across funnel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
For this position we expect:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
• Several years of relevant experience and proven track record of managing large programs or products with stakeholders across teams or marketplaces
• Expertise in website usability and marketing best practices, experienced with user testing methods, particularly onsite A/N testing
• Demonstrable ability to generate actionable insights from large, complex sets of data
• Ability to work in an ambiguous environment with widely distributed ownerships
• High computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point) and solid technical toolkit (e.g. SQL)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to confidentially communicate with senior leadership
• Proficiency in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, QuickSight, etc.
• Fluency in German (C1/C2)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Further qualifications would be a plus:
• Master degree or MBA
• Background in marketing, user experience, or conversion optimization
• Experience leading products that leverage LLMs
• German native speaker
• Knowledge of additional EU language(s)
