Cash Application Analyst (AWS), AWS Account Receivable

Amazon Finance Operations is looking for an Cash Application Analyst to support our continued EU expansion within cloud infrastructure services (AWS).
The successful candidate will be responsible for cash application in cooperation with our finance operations management. As part of our commitment to your development, you will also gain exposure in cross functional and process improvement projects.
Key job responsibilities
· Timely allocation and reconciliation of incoming payments to customer accounts and invoices, matching open items to receipts
· Maintain strong relationships with our clients and internal partners to ensure timely cash management and a high degree of accuracy
· Research unpaid or disputed amounts and work with Sales, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
· Investigate and resolve unallocated and unidentified receipts, process refunds
· Work with all banking partners to maintain relationships and to manage business exposure; including reconciliation and contact with Treasury team
· Resolve queries from customers and internal stakeholders regarding receipts
· Support the month end close activities relating to cash allocation Skills, know-how and experience
· Diagnose, improve and fix any issues with our current cash application processes
· Continually look at ways to improve the customer experience
· Earn the trust of your external and internal customers thereby building long-lasting relationships to reinforce Amazon’s customer centricity.
· Work with the commercial side of the business to ensure we are serving our customers in the most effective manner.
· Being a helping hand for our internal business partners in EMEA, to enable them to make educated decisions.
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,800 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Fluent English (both spoken and written)
• Previous finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Fluent in one EU additional language
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or other directly related areas
• Previous Account Receivables, Customer Care, or other customer facing department experience
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• A drive for continuous learning and self-development
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service focus.
