Sr. Technical Program Manager, Knowledge Services - FinTech
DESCRIPTION
Are you interested in building high-performance, globally scalable Financial systems that support Amazon's current and future growth? Are you seeking an environment where you can drive innovation? Does the prospect of working with top engineering talent get you charged up? If so, Amazon Finance Technology (FinTech) is for you!
Amazon's Finance Technology organization (FinTech) builds and maintains the finance technology platforms and services that enable new business growth, compliance with financial and tax reporting obligations, and analysis of our financial data at scale. Through our products, we aim to maximize time spent by Finance teams on high value analysis, reduce the growth of operating expenses, and improve the vendor experience.
We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) professional to play a significant role in leading a multi-year program from concept through execution. Knowledge Services vision is to empower Finance users with data driven decisions, and provision scalable, self-serve analytical capabilities to derive insights from transactional finance information. Our goal is to automate finance processes and reporting, drive standardization across worldwide finance teams, and leverage AWS capabilities and provision capabilities to scale with Amazon's growth. This TPM will work hand in hand with our engineers to define the architecture across development teams, and with our customers across Accounting, FinOps, Tax and others to define and orchestrate scope, work streams, timing, milestones, and communication plan. This TPM will need to dive deep with the development team and challenge the design as needed. Solutions involve the development of new products and services, and leverage existing products and services in new ways. It is rife with ambiguity, and we are looking for a leader who can embrace the challenge of solving complex technical problems that require consistent iteration and schedule refinement.
Key job responsibilities
The successful candidate will have strong Technical Program management, be highly collaborative, globally minded and have a high level of customer focus. You should be a motivated self-starter that works well with others in a dynamic, ambiguous environment. You should have excellent business, technical, and communication skills to be able to work across countries and markets, dev teams, and with business owners to define and deliver improvements. This leader will facilitate the development of detailed project plans and timelines, ensure technical teams are delivering to the customer requirements, and drive leadership alignment and communication of our progress across teams.
