Sr. Marketing Manager, Wondery

DESCRIPTION

Wondery is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Marketing Manager to lead the strategic marketing efforts for our diverse portfolio of podcasts, driving customer engagement, and building dedicated fan communities. As a seasoned marketing professional with a passion for podcasts and content marketing, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing marketing campaigns that resonate with listeners and elevate Wondery’s presence in the industry. In this role, you will collaborate with high-profile podcast hosts, producers, and creators, as well as internal teams across Content, Ad Sales, PR, and Franchise to drive growth and enhance Wondery’s market leadership.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns for new podcast launches across various genres, including lifestyle, history, sports, and more, targeting diverse audiences.
- Conduct pre-launch and post-campaign analysis to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Partner with the Franchise team to build comprehensive marketing strategies aimed at driving revenue, expanding franchise potential, and growing audiences across new and existing content (e.g., History Tellers).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key content initiatives, including new podcast launches, tentpole events, and major releases.
- Collaborate with Content and Production teams to establish and communicate strategic objectives, ensuring alignment across Wondery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration across Creative, Marketing, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Production.
- Manage partnerships with podcast creators, fostering relationships that support Wondery’s goals.
- Work closely with Research and Analytics to gain deep insights into target audience behaviors and preferences, using data to inform marketing decisions.
- Monitor and assess competitive landscape and industry trends to keep Wondery at the forefront of the podcast space.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
