Sr. Technical Program Manager, Global Store Tech

Amazon Exports and Expansion is building new services responsible for enhancing the international shopping experience. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on TPM to solve complex problems and support an organization as they deliver innovative technology solutions. You will be relied upon to improve efficiency and planning from learnings across multiple product launches, as well as to develop and manage processes and frameworks supporting the organization.


As a TPM, you will lead and work with talented teams to innovate and deliver business and software solutions. Your ability to define and develop highly scalable and high performance web services is essential. You will have opportunities to work on both front-end (Website and Mobile App) and back-end (Services) technologies and interact with business stakeholders directly. In addition, successful candidates will be able to lead by example and balance development responsibilities while participating in cross-team efforts including architecture planning.

In this role, you should feel comfortable gathering requirements across the many retail systems, creating and maintaining technical project plans, and diving into the technical details to understand the nuances and complexities involved. If this sounds like you, let's talk more!

Key job responsibilities
- Plan programs backwards from delivery dates, understanding multiple teams' capacity, resource demand, and interdependencies.

- Organize and lead technical teams for deep diving challenging issues and solution options. Propose, advance, scrutinize, and improve high-level designs. Extend Global Store and Core Exports reach and capabilities to enhance experience for current customers and to broaden selection for new customers.

- Troubleshoot technical issues, capture and guide progress with business and technical stakeholders, document findings, and parlay your learning into future crossborder strategy and improvements.

- Analyze and present trade-offs for issue solution options or for prioritization among investment options. Create articulate, influential documents to guide discussions, decisions, escalations, and important debates.

- Continually document and improve the Crossborder Technology delivery process for current and future TPMs in your team.

- Represent Crossborder Tech in broader processes such as infrastructure forecasting and planning, operational planning, and engineering and operational excellence improvement initiatives.

- Provide regular artifacts and ceremonies of technical program management, such as managing risks and issues, tracking and communicating status at multiple levels, hosting technical sessions, checkpoints, and leadership reviews.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
