Alameda is revolutionizing control plane development across AWS, providing a centralized platform that automates the creation and maintenance of both control plane and data plane infrastructure for new managed services.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer on Alameda, you will be playing a key role at solving challenging problems in distributed systems, secure multi-tenancy, concurrency, scale, availability, durability, and performance engineering. You will closely work with world-class technical talent and Principal Engineers to own and develop strategy, designs, and implementation of substantial areas of Control Plane development. You will have deep understanding of the AWS infrastructure, you will translate user requirements, help define roadmap, design, develop, deploy, and test end-to-end. You will play the role of technical leader of a team and the team is stronger due to your presence, and you regularly contribute to the professional development of colleagues. You understand the business impacts of technical decisions and guide technology choices to create amazing experiences for customers. You will be working closely with leaders in the org to ensure your solution’s contract and functionality aligns with the broader objective.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
