DESCRIPTION

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, PMT to lead and develop a team of product managers and ops team members responsible for Contract Onboarding team part of AWS Billing. This key leadership role will partner closely with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to drive technical excellence and innovation across our organization.

As a Senior Manager of PMT, you will be responsible for leading sales and customer engagements to onboard private pricing deals. You will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of AWS private pricing, fostering a culture of innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions that meet the needs of our global customer base.

Key job responsibilities


Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineering managers. Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning within your organization.

Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement the technical vision and strategy for your area of responsibility. Ensure architectural decisions align with AWS's long-term goals and scalability requirements.

Project Execution & Delivery: Oversee the execution of multiple complex projects across teams. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software that meets customer needs and business objectives.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, operations, and other engineering teams to align technical initiatives with business goals and customer requirements.
Process Optimization & Innovation: Drive initiatives to improve processes, tools, and methodologies. Implement best practices across your organization.

Performance Management: Define and track key business metrics for your teams. Use data-driven insights to optimize team performance and drive continuous improvement.

Risk Management: Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of Commerce Platform.

About the team
We are a new organization within AWS Billing called Contract Onboarding (CO) supporting Private Pricing Addenda, with a challenging charter.

Our vision is to onboard any contract for any AWS service, any pricing model in any geography, instantly and accurately to AWS Billing.

Our team within Commerce Platform is working on a set of Contract Automation and onboarding
initiatives to streamline AWS Customer deal agreements creation and ingestion into our billing
systems. We enable AWS Billing, AWS Sales and AWS Legal organization to sign contracts/deals
with AWS customers faster, compute bills accurately, apply discounts and enhance customer
experience overall.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of team management experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high growth environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
