We are looking for a self-starter to join our Rest of World (ROW) GOLD Team as a L&D Business Partner, supporting the Africa, Middle East & Turkey (AMET) region. We are transforming the way we do development. We are customer-obsessed and innovative in our efforts to increase leadership capability. This means we build our own highly customized and targeted solutions that directly serve the business. We work backward from business development needs through deep dives and critical analysis of our talent movements. The L&D Business Partner will support development of AMET leaders across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates – from first-time leaders to leaders of leaders.
The successful candidate has a passion for collaborating with business leaders to deliver impactful solutions. The L&D Business Partner will be skilled in driving business transformations, designing development practices, is strong in influencing, communication and facilitation and builds strong relationships with leaders. We need a creative leader who has a hands-on approach, a strong knowledge of Operations, adult learning theory and a scientific and data-driven approach to solution development. This is a business partnering role and stakeholder management and leading initiatives at the AMET level are key aspects of this role.
Amazon fulfillment centers, sort centers, and delivery stations encompass a dynamic and challenging environment. You will be very close to the action and spend time on the warehouse floor with the teams who make our fulfillment operations great. Developing our people is at the heart of what we do.
This role will be based in Dubai, UAE. Candidate can be based in Dubai or another city in UAE but be prepared to commute to corp office in Dubai 5 days per week.
Key job responsibilities
· Build strong partnerships with business leaders (e.g. Site Leaders, Operations Managers) to understand their learning needs and ensure targeted solution development. Dive in to quickly learn about learners’ goals and challenges, their work environment, how they walk (fast) and how they talk (straightforward).
· Own the end-to-end execution of learning interventions across multiple business lines/regions.
· Manage, interpret and analyze business data to report conclusions and make recommendations based on findings.
· Produce written reports to communicate and gain support for solutions, measurement and evaluation plans.
A day in the life
No two days are ever the same in this team, as you'll be leading various programs and projects, and engaging with key stakeholders throughout the network in AMET. This team is incredibly collaborative, fun, and focused on doing great work while learning and growing!
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· A Bachelors degree in Learning & Development, Education, Psychology, Sociology, HR, Management, or other relevant field
· Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering scalable talent development solutions
· Aptitude for learning and leveraging science and technology for both solution design and data analysis
· Ability to actively use metrics, and training data to track and manage impact of training efforts
· Management skills: organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to deliver reliable results
· Superior communication and influence skills are a must with the ability to communicate effectively and credibly both verbally and in writing with audiences across levels
· A strong focus on internal customers’ needs and satisfaction, with an emphasis on demonstrating return on investment
· Innovative and proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to use judgment in complex and ambiguous situations
· Strong knowledge of and experience with performance and talent management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Masters' in Education, Research, and/or Data Sciences
· Qualified/certified in a variety of psychometric instruments
· Experience with Experimental Design & Research · Experience creating e-learning content or using LMS tools such as Capstone
· Experience in Operations
