DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Program Manager at Amazon, you'll lead our Recovery Operations, focusing on Resale, Vendor Returns, and Liquidation programs to maximize total net recovery and optimize reverse logistics processes. You'll own the P&L, develop comprehensive strategies, and manage multiple stakeholders while driving process improvements and financial growth. Key job responsibilities
• Strategy Development and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for Amazon Warehouse, Vendor Returns, and Liquidation programs to maximize total net recovery. Continuously analyze market trends and internal data to identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth.
• Program Management: Oversee the end-to-end management of recovery programs, ensuring seamless coordination between various teams and stakeholders. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track program success and drive continuous improvement.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
• P&L Responsibility: Own the P&L for the recovery operations programs, with accountability for financial performance and reporting. Develop and manage budgets, forecast revenues, and control costs to ensure program profitability.
• Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance recovery value. Lead cross-functional teams in implementing new technologies and systems to support program objectives.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced analytics to derive insights and make data-driven decisions. Prepare and present regular reports on program performance, trends, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all recovery operations comply with Amazon's policies, as well as relevant laws and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with recovery programs.

• A significant part of your role involves cross-functional collaboration. You meet with stakeholders from various departments, including finance, vendor management, and logistics teams, to discuss implementing new technologies and process improvements. These interactions allow you to provide strategic insights and work through any challenges in program execution.
• Data analysis forms a crucial component of your day. You closely monitor key performance indicators such as recovery rates, processing costs, and program profitability. Working closely with your stakeholders, you develop action plans to drive improvements and optimize the P&L. You also help create comprehensive reports and dashboards to equip senior leadership with timely, data-driven insights on program performance.
• Throughout the day, you balance immediate operational needs with long-term strategic initiatives. This might involve participating in global strategy sessions to contribute your expertise as the team develops new approaches for maximizing recovery value. You also spend time responding to stakeholder inquiries and summarizing key activities for senior leadership.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in program management, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or supply chain operations.
• Proven track record in P&L management and driving financial results.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision making.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience with reverse logistics, liquidation, or resale operations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, project management, data visualization).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience championing change and driving improvements.
- Experience managing a large group of external and internal stakeholders.
- Master's or MBA Degree.
- Experience with management consulting, internet/e-commerce company, or investment bank.
- Knowledge or experience with SQL.
