Software Development Engineer, Rewarded Ads

The Rewarded Ads team is building a new and exciting product offering that enable advertisers to offer rewards to consumers when they shop on Amazon. This is an exciting direction in the Advertising world as it creates a win-win for both the advertiser and consumers.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to help us complete this vision. It is a great opportunity for someone looking to influence and help shape the technology direction of a young and growing organization. You will be providing thought leadership, drive the design, while remaining hands-on as a prolific software designer and coder. You will help with the delivery of an end to end solution that enable self-service for the advertising customer by working with other Amazon Ads teams. On this team, you will be a driving force in your development team, using your considerable experience to build an engineering culture of innovation, quality and customer obsession.
Rewarded Ads is a growing area within Amazon Ads. We have high potential to identify opportunities for new ad products, experiment, incubate and scale the most successful ideas. Key job responsibilities
- Contribute to the technical vision for your team. You will collaborate with business and tech teams to ensure that team’s tech roadmap supports the business direction.
- Use your problem-solving skills, collaborating with creative and technical teams, thinking-big and inventing and simplifying to solve advertising challenges.
- Collaborate with teams across Amazon to integrate and optimize existing ad products to take advantage of Amazon's scale and reach.
- Design and build solutions that span the entire custom advertising stack; UX, API, audience segmentation/targeting, Ad serving and performance monitoring. Your solutions will enable delivery of innovative ad-products and experiences across wide range of devices and web.
- Deliver novel customer experiences by developing solutions which include innovative UX strategies, AWS services and large scale back-end services.
- Leverage your technical ability, excellent organizational and communication skills to build and solve challenging and ambiguous problems. You'll use your ingenuity and motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
- Provide guidance and mentor SDEs in these team.
- Set a high quality bar, ensuring quality design reviews and robust engineering practices for automated testing, code coverage and full CI/CD pipelines.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
