The Pickup and Return Points Finance team seeks a data driven Finance Manager, with a strong business and finance acumen, who can help us make strategic and ambiguous decisions that have significant growth and profitability trade-offs. They will be an integral part of the business team which owns a broad range of solutions for our customers.

This role is more than finance: it requires ability to invent, go beyond the standard business rules to “experiment” and “conceive” together with the business partners to find financial sustainable solutions to scale across the world. This role is strategic in nature (business partnering skills and curiosity are a must!). Key job responsibilities
- Partner/support senior leadership on product/project roadmap based on financial and operational efficiency improvements
- Build financial models to support new product and expansion initiatives
- Oversee financial reporting for your business area. Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.
- Identify, resolve, or provide guidance to resolve complex data integrity issues. You improve controls to address financial risk.
- Educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs. You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments where there data may be scarce or difficult to procure.
- Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjust style for various audiences to articulate complex finance issues clearly.

About the team
The vision of the Pickup and Return Points (PARP) team is to provide every customer in every geography a safe, reliable pickup and returns experiences conveniently close to where they live or work with ship speeds, price and selection as good or better than home.

The PARP portfolio includes Commercial and Residential Lockers, Counters, Third-Party solutions (Managing networks that are owned end-to-end by commercial carriers), Quality improvement, Marketing, Advertising, International expansion and more. The PARP Finance team supports the business across each one of these segments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
