The Prime Video Financial Systems team is seeking talented Software Development Engineers to build world-class bespoke financial software to support our expanding Amazon Studios business. Our mission is to provide frictionless on-boarding, management, and renewal of assets and associated contracts for Prime Video and Amazon Studios.
You will be involved in developing and maintaining a system that must efficiently handle large data volumes and highly confidential data. Because we deal with financial data, such as forecasting, budget management, accounting and payments the code we write must conform to high standards of accuracy and consistency. A successful candidate will have strong technical ability, great communication skills and an established background in developing full-stack, n-tier systems.
Key job responsibilities
An engineer in the FinSys Prime Video Financial systems team is a full stack engineer working with the full range of AWS technologies. You'll be expected to design, lead, deliver and support technologies that solve business needs.
A day in the life
A FinSys engineer writes code to support the accounting and payment of licensed and original content. Our work directly impacts the titles Prime customers can see on Amazon.
Team members work on projects from solo projects to multi-team, cross - regional projects. You'll be a; writing and reviewing design docs, writing code, providing code reviews, troubleshooting problems and providing solutions to unique business problems.
About the team
The team works with multiple Amazon Studios teams to get Amazon Studios financial data into our systems. We automate processes, remove risk and get digital content providers paid. In doing this we get great TV series and movies to Prime Customers.
You'll be working with many teams, working on challenging problems across multiple locations and with a great team to support you.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
