Business Intelligence Manager (Lux, Milan, London), EU MFN/SSR 3P Team

As the BI Manager, you'll partner cross-functionally to develop analytics solutions that empower our sellers and internal teams to make data-driven decisions and grow their businesses.
As BI Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage and develop a high-performing BI team responsible for delivering valuable insights and maintaining robust data infrastructures
- Collaborate with ISS Data Engineering, WW Tech teams and EU 3P business stakeholders to identify strategic priorities and implement BI solutions
- Drive a culture of operational excellence, data quality, and continuous improvement
- Create and manage mechanisms to allocate bandwidth of the BI team to serve business needs while ensuring team is focused on biggest priorities
- Grow your team's capabilities through mentorship, training, and career development opportunities
- Leverage the latest BI tools and technologies to maximize efficiency and impact
Key job responsibilities
- Manage a Business Intelligence team with limited guidance, including hiring, developing, and promoting team members
- Set team priorities and successfully deliver BI solutions that meet business needs by partnering effectively with customers and stakeholders
- Influence both business and technical teams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks or dependencies
- Build mechanisms and standards to ensure engineering and operational excellence in BI solutions
- Define metrics to measure team progress, data/solution quality, and engineering/operational excellence
- Deliver BI solutions for complex problems, often at the architectural level and in conjunction with other engineering teams
- Think strategically, make trade-offs, and communicate ideas effectively to all types of audiences
A day in the life
In this role, you will lead a team of BI (Business Intelligence Engineer) professionals responsible for delivering impactful data insights and analytics to support the needs of our EU 3P MFN and SSR teams. You will partner closely with business/product/tech teams to align on metric definitions and data management best practices. Collaborating with EU 3P business unit owners, you'll identify key performance challenges and develop BI solutions to drive data-driven decision making. You will design and develop Seller facing analytical tools and products to support Sellers in growing their business and meeting the high CX bar. This will involve everything from architectural design to hands-on analytics, all while developing and mentoring your team to ensure operational excellence.
About the team
You'll be part of the dynamic, innovative and fun MFN/SSR EU 3P team, responsible of two critical areas of the EU 3P business: MFN (Merchant Fulfillment Network) which owns SX and CX all 3P business where Sellers deliver orders to customers directly from their own warehouses, and SSR (Self Service Registration) which owns SX for Sellers who register to sell on Amazon and also manages marketing and mass communication channels that help them grow successfully on our EU marketplaces.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in business intelligence and analytics
- Experience in delivering results managing a business intelligence or analytics team, including employee development and performance management
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ETL
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with R, Python, Weka, SAS, Matlab or other statistical/machine learning software
- Experience managing a data or BI team
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with very large data warehousing environment
- Experience in data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding
