Senior Product Manager - Technical, SCOT AIM Planning
DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Product Manager (Tech) to lead inventory management innovation, define the AIM Inventory Planning roadmap and system improvements to automate worldwide inventory management, and identify and drive long term free cash flow opportunities.
As a PM, you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the products we own and realizing that vision by working closely with software development leaders, research scientists and partner teams in retail and operations.
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills coupled with business judgement and customer obsession. She/he will communicate effectively across teams and levels, while balancing the needs and requirements of internal and external customers. Flexibility and the ability to prioritize in a changing business environment will also be key. The ideal candidate will be self-directed with the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team. She/he will also be responsible for establishing creative strategies to track and identify impact of our initiatives. This is a high visibility role that requires partnering with worldwide Retail, operations, finance and other teams across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
Build product roadmap(s) to manage inventory at scale for WW
Partner with retail/business teams to ensure adoption of our products and measure the effectiveness of our systems
Create and analyze performance metrics to inform decision making and new feature additions
Foster strong relationships with cross-functional peers, creating a collaborative culture
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent
- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Master's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, operations research, business analytics, information systems or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
