Amazon Business (AB) Operations owns the end to end customer experience for AB customers from checkout to final mile delivery and is estimated to grow 20% next year. The AB Ops Finance team is responsible for all financial reporting & analysis, planning, and business partnering on this end to end spend. Our team is rapidly expanding and increasing scope providing for a rich career growth environment. A successful Sr Financial Analyst will showcase a high degree of ownership and will be able to independently lead project valuation and influence decision making with a variety of business partners. Within this growth & shadow P&L space, the analyst must be comfortable with a high degree of ambiguity and owns measuring the impact of various projects, network impacts, and reporting on EU AB Operations.

Key job responsibilities
As a Sr Financial Analyst in AB EU Ops Finance your key responsibilities include reporting on actual country level performance versus plan, the B2C network, and the corresponding regional specific business drivers to increase cost driver visibility, dive deep on savings opportunities and helping to hold the business accountable to challenging FCF commitments which includes influencing AB’s long-term palletization, consolidation, and delivery experience strategy across EU countries to better serve business customers. You will use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations at a region level that delivers results, drive improvements, and influence leaders in AB Ops and AB Finance.

You will need an understanding of the complexity of the transportation network and the underlying risks associated with changing a number of network metrics, evaluating the tradeoffs of improvement to AB and impact on the wider Amazon network. Ownership also includes influencing both direct business partners within Global Transportation Services as well as business and finance partners across the Amazon supply chain. The Analyst owns measuring the impact of various projects, investments, and other decisions on key strategic initiatives and is able to influence decision making to balance these and cost.

About the team
The AB Ops Finance team is a global team responsible for all financial reporting, planning, and business partnering on Core Operations Cost for Amazon Business. The team oversees $9.3B in scope. The team is growing to meet key challenging goals in 2025 to increase cost visibility, provide impactful cost insights, and become a global business partner. We directly support two AB Ops directors and their growing global team in addition to closely partnering with senior AB Finance leaders. The team plans to deliver challenging savings goals of $100MM in 2025 and are responsible in creating a strong mechanism to hold our Operators accountable and driving future improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A degree
- Relevant experience in a finance role leading a project or programme and partnering with multiple stakeholders within a business
- Relevant experience working with Excel, reporting tools and large-scale data mining tools, such as Power BI, Python, SQL, or Tableau
- Relevant experience in financial modelling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A bachelor's degree in finance, Mathematics, or Economics
- Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
- Experience of working in a large team or fast-paced, corporate environment
- Experience of making strategic business decisions and manage internal relationships
