At Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes (EKS) , we are building a core set of services that allow our customers to create and use Kubernetes at scale. You will be part of an exceptional team moving the needle towards making containers as the next generation compute platform. This is an opportunity to operate and engineer on a massive scale, and to gain top-notch experience in cloud computing. You will be part of building a new product in EKS getting an opportunity to build and own a system from the ground up.

You will be solving complex technical problems, often ones not solved before, alongside with peers with remarkable technical expertise. Work/Life Balance
Our team puts a value on work-life balance. Most days, our team is co-located in the office. We generally keep core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm.

On-Call Responsibility
This position involves on-call responsibilities. We don’t like getting paged in the middle of the night or on the weekend, so we work to ensure that our are fault tolerant. When we do get paged, we work together to resolve the root cause so that we don’t get paged for the same issue twice.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
