Salesforce Success Central (SFSC) delivers products and solutions that improve the return on investment in our enterprise-wide third-party platforms, deliver products that make running third-party platforms at Amazon scale easier, and improve overall governance and security. The Security Enablement Team, within SFSC, is looking for an experienced Salesforce Systems Development Engineer to build products that monitor third-party platforms and deliver user experiences that help service owners improve their operational maturity. You will own the design and delivery of tools and products we deliver to secure third-party platforms at Amazon. In 2025, we are embarking on an AI/ML journey to scale our team and automated the security assessment of third-party platforms. You will partner with software engineers, security engineers, and enterprise security to develop innovative technologies that engage Service Owners throughout Amazon. With a customer first approach to solving security challenges, we enable service owners to improve the maturity of their operations.

Key job responsibilities

- As a System Development Engineer in SFSC, you will architect, design and build scalable, flexible, and integrated solutions for our security enablement team in partnership with other technology partners/teams/leaders across the enterprise.
- You will provide solution for our Amazon Salesforce Inspector UX and native AWS tools/applications to automate and optimize the mature operations of a fleet of Salesforce orgs
- You will simplify and reinvent systems, processes, and tools to improve customer experiences. you will technically lead a complex charter of building and delivering cloud services and CRM solutions.
- You will jointly define strategy, vision, and roadmap of multi-year business critical cloud technology solution which will be rolled out to the Amazon and AWS enterprise.
- As a Systems Development Engineer, you will define technical initiatives to drive cost optimization across various CRM, and AWS environments, bring thought leadership to manage availability, latency and performance of our mission critical tools, services


A day in the life
This role will own customer impacting changes in our UX built on Salesforce. Our tools impact the entire enterprise and we hold a high bar for our customers. This role participates across the entire team of TPMS, PMT, Security Engineers, and SDEs to deliver engaging experiences in Salesforce.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
- 5+ years developing highly scalable solutions in Salesforce

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience delivering AI/ML integrations with Salesforce
- Experience owning the operations and governance of a full Salesforce stack

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
