Senior Technical Program Manager, A to Z
DESCRIPTION
As a Senior Technical Program Manager in Amazon's A to Z organization, you will have the opportunity to deliver a new generation of web and mobile experiences for Amazonians powered by data and generative AI. You will grow as a technology leader, and work with some really smart people. To succeed in the role, you must be passionate about both solving deep technical challenges. You must care deeply about the interface of software engineering, program management, technical operations and collaboration with peers and senior leaders.
We're looking for a motivated Snr Technical Program Manager who has proven experience managing multiple programs in a global environment across multiple technology platforms, ideally with competing priorities as well. The candidate will be responsible for managing programs/projects across the A to Z technology stack and in deep partnership with other Amazon organizations.

The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated leader with superior analytical abilities. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. The candidate will have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets as well as analyzing cost/benefits and communicating results throughout the organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in technical product or program management
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience in software development
- Experience in technical program management working directly with software engineering teams
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
