The mission of the Amazon Retail Vendor Management team is to lead successful partnerships with vendors across all Amazon EU marketplaces by guiding them, building trust, providing guidance, and continuously innovating to challenge the status quo. Our diverse, international and multilingual team, based in Bratislava, focuses on driving results through meaningful engagement with vendors and leveraging Amazon technology solutions. Operating in a dynamic and collaborative environment, we prioritize opportunities with high business impact and manage dedicated vendor portfolios to achieve both department and product category specific business goals. BENEFITS
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 4200 gross per month and salary depends on the skills and experience. Additional compensation includes a sign-on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com. Key job responsibilities
We are seeking motivated and collaborative Head of Vendor Management to lead a team of Vendor Managers, Senior Vendor Managers including Team Manager. You role will focus on driving profitable growth of the assigned vendor category portfolio, implementing business and operational strategy in collaboration with Category lead and Business Managers across the EU. You will build a diverse and inclusive team by focusing on effective recruitment, performance management, coaching and talent development. You will own a dedicated pan-EU program, and participate in strategic initiatives to drive scale, efficiency and exceptional customer experience, partnering with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be motivated leader with strong communication skills, commercial background, proven ability to develop and manage relationships, lead initiatives and deliver sustainable growth, all in a fast-paced and changing environment.


A day in the life
Your typical day will include leading your team members 1:1, team huddles. To accomplish product category business goals, you will own and drive dedicated business reviews, focused problem resolution, process optimization, inventing solutions, making trade-offs and adjusting team priorities. You will support your team in handling most complex and strategic vendor interactions in person or via phone. You will collaborate with your peers, stakeholders, category leaders and senior leadership to influence department and category priorities, drive strategic initiatives and deliver results. Your day is composed as well of work on long-term projects, ad-hoc requests, leadership related actions on department level and reporting/performance management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 6+ years professional experience in Account Management, Sales, Vendor Management, Business Development, E-Commerce, Retail, Consulting, Business-to-Business (B2B), Sales Operations or Shared Service Operations.
- 4+ years' experience in people management, with proven track record to build inclusive and high-performing teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
- Experience managing complex regional projects.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills with the ability to adapt to changing environments and tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data.
- Fluent level of English; additional language is a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in E-Commerce, Corporate Retail, Consulting and/or B2B.
- Superior communication and presentation skills.
- Expertise in account/territory management, strategic planning, and negotiation.
- Financial and Business analytical acumen for the purpose of making business decisions.
- Experience using analytical, account management, and productivity tools including Oracle Business Intelligence, Quicksight, CRM tools like SalesForce, and Microsoft Office Suites.
- Retail Category experience is a plus
