Amazon Robotics is seeking Research Scientists with a passion for robotic research. Our team works on challenging and high-impact projects within robotics. Examples of projects include allocating resources to complete a million orders a day, coordinating the motion of thousands of robots, autonomous navigation in warehouses, identifying objects and damage, and learning how to grasp all the products Amazon sells.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- PhD in a quantitative field, or MS degree and 2+ years of quantitative field research experience
- Experience investigating the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to business problems and products
- Experience applying machine learning algorithms to find business-critical patterns in operational data
- Experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets
- Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar scripting language
- Experience in planning and optimization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- PhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field
- Experience with any programming language such as Python, Java, C++
- Experience with experimental design
- Experience in machine learning, statistics, and deep learning
