DESCRIPTION
Amazon's Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) Team is responsibly advancing the company’s generative AI technologies, including Amazon’s most expansive multimodal Large Language Models. AGI Content Management and Protection (C-MAP) mission is to provide a secure, trusted library of content across all modalities and languages, to empower and accelerate Amazon AI builders, to deliver highly capable and responsible models. In this team, you would stay up to date with latest AI related knowledge and state-of-the-art technologies to provide secure and scalable solutions serving the AGI foundation model families. You will have opportunities to work closely with strong leaders (Sr SDE, PEs), science teams, Security Engineers and product partners.
We are looking for high caliber and tested Software Development Engineers to start a project with strategic significance and high exposure. In this initiative, we will tackle some of the most intriguing problems in software architecture design and building highly scalable services.

A day in the life
- Writing code most of the time (Primarily in Java and Python).
- Utilizing AWS Compute, Networking, Security, Storage, and Database services such as CloudFormation, EC2, S3, EBS, Lambda, AutoScaling, and DynamoDB, and many more on a daily basis.
- As a member of the team, you'll contribute to the architectural vision for a world-class, and massively scaled ML compute platform.
- As an Amazon leader, owning the product areas that you are passionate about and solving major customer pain, becoming the advocate and driving the product and technology development and expansion within our ecosystem.
- Growing and mentoring software engineers. Working with them to identify great projects and features that will help them grow in their careers.
- Contributing with technical guidance on software design, architecture, patterns and practices.
- Helping your team self-organize and create software development processes and practices that will work best for you and your teammates.
- Building relationships with your customers, partner teams and the engineers on your team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
