DESCRIPTION

The AWS Serverless Messaging team is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Tech to define and lead the next generation of its cloud messaging services. AWS Serverless Messaging owns and operates Simple Notification Service (SNS) and Simple Queue Service (SQS), which AWS customers use to build highly scalable, asynchronous, and fault tolerant applications in the cloud. SNS and SQS are core components in the cloud architectures of Amazon and leading global enterprises who run their workloads on AWS. We are looking for a seasoned technical product leader with a track record of building strong business cases, managing successful product launches, and driving customer success. This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives on deep data analytics, working hand in hand with customers, and generating insightful and innovative product roadmaps.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product management with internet business experience
- 5+ years of working as a Technical Product Manager experience
- 3+ years of technical (software development, network development, IT, other related) experience
- Experience in taking a product from conception & definition phase through engineering design and taking it to market
- Experience delivering large-scale SaaS, PaaS or LaaS products where you are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept through GTM (go to market)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA, Master’s degree, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience delivering enterprise, infrastructure, compute products and services in a high growth environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
- Experience with influencing and working with large, external companies.
- High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

The base salary for this position ranges from $135,700/year up to $226,500/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
