The Atlas team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to help build and scale our product attribute processing engine, which powers personalized shopping experiences across Amazon. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working on challenges involving large-scale data processing, natural language processing, and machine learning. Your work will play a crucial role in ensuring customers receive accurate, high-quality product recommendations through innovative features like AI Shopping Guides, Product Explorer, and more.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on Amazon’s highly visible systems, tackling complex problems around data cleaning, attribute generation, and model scalability. The Atlas team’s mission is to provide reliable, scalable infrastructure and cutting-edge tools that enable Amazon's personalization services to deliver the right product information to the right customer at the right time. Atlas powers key customer experiences such as AI Shopping Guides, Product Explorer, and Preferences by curating comprehensive, high-quality product attributes and data from multiple sources. This capability enhances personalized product recommendations, search, and discovery while supporting Amazon’s ever-evolving marketplace.

Atlas integrates advanced technologies, including large language models (LLMs), and machine learning workflows, to process and enrich Amazon’s catalog data. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- 5+ years of big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
