Principal Technical Program Manager, Amazon Privacy
DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Privacy team is on a mission to make it easy for Amazon teams to meet customer expectations and regulatory obligations when it comes to taking care of their personal data.
As a Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) for privacy governance, you will define, own and deliver technical programs to identify, address and inspect privacy obligations across the company. You will partner with engineering teams who own tools used by builders and privacy specialists across the company, as well as automation that continuously scans applications and datasets in support of our mission.
Privacy is a fascinating, fast-moving and ever-changing area - there's still many opportunities for invention and innovation ahead of us.
About the team
We own software products that teams use to identify their privacy obligations, as well as the products they use to support those obligations in their software.
We partner with core builder framework teams, privacy legal, and privacy specialists across the company. Our teams are in Austin TX, Seattle WA and Romania.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
