Are you passionate about solving large-scale, complex problems and building useful tooling and automation? We are seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join AWS Enterprise Support Strategy and Operations engineering team. In this role, you will work closely with Systems Development Engineers, Product Managers, and Enterprise Support business stakeholders, to deliver tools and automation that power the AWS Enterprise Support service.

As a pivotal member of the team, you will own tooling/automation products/programs that provide value to our customer facing AWS support team. Your work will ensure that we rapidly adapt to business needs, and build solutions to support internal support teams, to ensure best in class services for AWS customers.

In this role, you will be the driving force behind bridging the gap between technical and business teams. You’ll be responsible for managing project schedules, coordinating production launches, and ensuring clear communication of goals, roles, and responsibilities. Your ability to navigate and solve complex technical challenges while balancing business priorities will be key to delivering impactful solutions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical program manager with a deep understanding of applications development and data automation . You thrive in tackling large, intricate projects, breaking them down into actionable steps, and delivering results on time. Your leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills will be essential in steering cross-functional teams towards success.

Key job responsibilities
- Translate Business Needs into Technical Solutions: Work with other AWS product owners and internal customers to understand business requirements and convert them into clear technical specifications. Recommend alternative approaches and lead engineering efforts to meet deadlines.

- Coordinate Technical Development: Collaborate with Systems Engineers to oversee the technical development environment, track project progress, and manage implementation. Anticipate challenges, handle escalations, and make trade-offs as needed.

- Communicate Across Teams: Ensure clear communication of project progress and technical details with senior leadership and partner organizations.

- Balance Constraints: Anticipate bottlenecks and balance business needs with technical limitations to keep projects on track.

- Manage Resources and Prioritize: Oversee resource allocation and prioritize projects in partnership with other Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to maximize impact and align with strategic goals.

- Lead Project Delivery: Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects across multiple teams. Break down business requirements into actionable tasks, solve technical challenges, and ensure timely, agile delivery.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
