Principal Technical Program Manager, Amazon Catalog
DESCRIPTION
The relationships between products in the Amazon store are a key driver in allowing our customers to find what they are looking for, and to discover new products. There is tremendous room for innovation and growth here, and you can help drive it. For example, product variations on detail pages enable our customers to quickly find the right color and size of the hottest new pair of sneakers. Our team, Item Relationships, within Amazon Selection and Catalog Systems (ASCS), drives the creation and curation of these relationships within the Amazon catalog.
Key job responsibilities
Sitting as the cross-section of engineering, science, business and operations, you will interact with stakeholders across 9+ organizations. Including Softlines, Hardlines and Consumables businesses, Selling Partner System platform and UX teams, End Customer Experience teams (Detail Page and Search) and Operations team that audits and trains ML and LLM models. You will manage dynamic roadmaps, evolving requirements, adoption of new innovations in technology and science, and most importantly risks. They will author business reviews, reports, debates and discussions presented to executive leadership audiences.
About the team
The team comprises of geo-distributed Engineering, Science teams who partner with Technical Product/Program Managers to improve the quality of product relationships in the Amazon Catalog. We drive programs across Amazon's end-to-end ecosystem, all the way from listing experiences to end customer experiences. Our space thrives on rapid, fail-fast experimentation. We are willing to take bold, aggressive bets to deliver value to both, our buying and selling customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
