DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships for Amazon.in within the Banking eco-system in India. This individual will be our ambassador with the external Banking ecosystem and will be responsible for conceptualizing, pitching and executing strategically important programs with key Bank partners. She/He will have a direct and visible impact on the long-term success of various businesses across Amazon.in.
This role has direct exposure to senior leaders in Amazon and in the Indian Banking eco-system and requires highly developed thought-leadership, ability to pitch new concepts to senior stakeholders, great analytical skills, relationship management and strategic negotiation skills. This is an individual contributor role based in Bangalore, and is a part of Strategic Partnerships team, Amazon Pay.

Key job responsibilities
1. Key relationship management with the largest banks in India. Driving negotiations on funding and other strategic projects with banking/network partners
2. Stakeholder management with category, finance, marketing and operations teams to drive common goals for Amazon, Brands and the Banks
3. Drive top to top leadership workshops to drive and firm up the annual/quarterly joint business plan

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 4+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to conceptualize and pitch new ideas to drive buy-in from senior stakeholders. Must be able to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
- Ability to independently manage complex contract negotiations, based on extensive data/analysis, working with senior executives inside and outside of Amazon.
- Proven ability to successfully thrive in an ambiguous environment and changing market conditions.
- Analytical skills and an ability to manage a program “by the numbers”. Must be metrics-driven.
- MBA is required.

- Ability to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual, or difficult situations or problems.
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit with a strong background (4-7 years) in financial services, e-commerce.
