Interested in building Video ads experience for Amazon Prime Video? We are the Amazon Publishers Monetization (APM) team, come and help us build the future of Video advertising. Today, APM serve video ads across Prime SVOD, Sports, Freevee, free ad supported (FAST) linear channels, and ad-supported third-party content in Channels (PVC). As Prime Video invest in content to grow their viewership (reach), Prime Video Ads team and Sales drive advertising monetization of this viewership via innovative video and display products that deliver outcomes for advertisers. Collectively, we accomplish this remit by focusing on the following functions: creating ad products and formats, enabling self-service buying tools to activate this media (e.g., ADSP and Sponsored TV), expanding activations to a breadth of advertisers, defining go to market (GTM) plans, optimizing yield(delivery and performance), and ensuring advertisers understand the full value of what we deliver.

To accomplish this mission, we are looking for a Software Development Engineer who can build on our early success, pioneer new ad experiences for customers, and help define our future to support streaming publisher creativity and innovation across in-house advertising technologies including supply & demand side platforms, identity services, database, big data, device/application-level services, and more.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be a critical part of our development team, responsible for multi-fold initiatives, spread across systems and teams, horizontally. You will take ownership of critical components, across teams to influence strategies and learn about systems across the ads stack. This role places you at the heart of our core team, where you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate directly with industry experts , evaluate short-term versus long-term decisions and drive the vision. Your contributions will not only enhance our current solutions but also shape the future of our technology.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
