It is still Day 1 for voice, and the catalog team is in the heart of making this experience better for customers.
The Amazon team is responsible for persisting, computing, reconciling and vending Music rights and metadata to other teams and services across Amazon. We process hundreds of millions of updates per day and our services serve hundreds of thousands of requests every second to all Amazon Music Customers. Our services are used in every aspect of the customer experience from search and discovery to playback and voice requests. We own critical platforms that makes access to the A highly available and accessible.
The AMC Support Engineering team provides Software and Infrastructure support for tier 1-3 services. This job requires you to hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks that will define your success.

Some of the key job functions
- Provide Infrastructure support of incoming system tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services
- Work on maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in Java, Perl, or shell scripts, and AWS technologies
- Software deployment support in staging and production environments
- Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance
- System and Support status reporting
- Ownership of one or more Digital products or components
- Improve AMC infrastructure, operational performance, and stability.
- Participate in designs, code and procedures reviews.
- Identify opportunities arising from technical discussions and do the technical trade-offs.
- Troubleshoot, research root causes thoroughly resolve defects.
- Drive Company Wide Campaigns with Support and Engineering teams and drive it to closure.
- Keep the Compliance risks (SAS, Shepherd etc.) for AMC systems under control.
- Drive large scale projects such as MAWS to NAWS, Pipeline Automation and drive it to closure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Experience tools for automation (building, testing, releasing or monitoring)
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring, JSF .
- Understanding of OOPs principles and design patterns.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems
- Knowledge of best practices for software deployment
- Experience with distributed operational health and performance monitoring systems
- Basic understanding of front end technologies like HTML, CSS and JS.
- Familiarity with build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
