Partner Development Specialist - Oracle
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a world-class AMER Partner Development Specialist (PDS) to grow the Oracle Database@AWS business through our strategic partnerships, particularly with Oracle workloads and through System Integrators (SIs) and Global System Integrator (GSI) partners in the Americas. AWS is on a journey to enhance the partner experience and foster a closer alignment with partners with this motion. This role is pivotal in empowering partners to drive momentum when engaging with our shared customers.
Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with internal AWS teams, co-develop, and implement go-to-market (GTM) industry strategies that empower AWS and Oracle partners to build solutions, offerings, and programs tailored to their customers’ needs. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of this dynamic field alongside some of the most innovative companies.
Key activities include:
• Educating partner and partner development teams on Oracle Database@AWS programs and assisting them innovate
• Unblocking challenges partners face in realizing business growth
• Driving top-line revenue growth and adoption of Oracle solutions on AWS
You will also serve as a subject matter expert on the Oracle Database@AWS and programs, supporting partner management and sales teams.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have experience driving successful partnership initiatives at scale, as well as a background in sales or business development with a proven track record of executing go-to-market motions. You should possess strong strategic thinking abilities, data-driven decision-making skills, and working knowledge of database and analytics services.
A day in the life
• Execute go-to-market strategy to grow the AMER Oracle Database@AWS business through consulting and technology partners in North America • Support partners across practice development, solution creation, enablement, and leveraging AWS programs • Drive partner revenue through pipeline management, opportunity registration, and business reviews to exceed annual goals • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, solutions architecture, product management, and other teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes • Serve as a subject matter expert advocating for AWS partner capabilities internally and externally
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- 5+ years of professional or military experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
