We are looking for an outstanding Technical Program Manager that has experience bootstrapping and delivering large-scale projects. You will have experience in Ad Tech, contributing to the product vision and roadmap. You will get an opportunity to deliver critical features to our customers WW. You will work closely with software engineers and product managers across different teams on a daily basis to define system architecture, elaborate user stories and discuss technical trade-offs. You will negotiate features and release timelines between multiple internal teams to maximize the benefit to Amazon and our customers. This role is inherently cross-functional— you will work closely with Engineering, Product, Business, and Executive teams.

The right candidate will possess a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have hands-on technical experience in the past. This means you are not only able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives, but can also roll up your sleeves and dive deep. You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. You will have demonstrable experience in taking large, complex projects and breaking them down into manageable pieces, developing functional specifications, then delivering in a successful and timely manner. are essential to be success in this role.

Key job responsibilities
1. Work with internal partners and customers to scope and launch new products or features.
2. Plan and deliver new advertising products end-to-end, working with our engineering teams.
3. Develop mechanisms to scale our business and infrastructure including; OP1/OP2, hardware planning, stakeholder communication and cross team coordination.
4. Collect business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, write specifications, drive project schedules from design to release, and manage the production launch.
5. Dive deep into the Amazon Ads architecture and systems to learn about new opportunities and or ways to invent and simplify our approach.
6. Continuously raise the bar of the team e.g. conduct retrospectives, participate in design reviews and plan and execute user acceptance testing.
7. Clearly communicate goals, risks, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional project teams.
8. Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.



About the team
We are Sponsored Brand Ad Serving and Supply team. Our teams owns core Ad Serving services (a low-latency, high TPS, distributed system), Video Ads and new Supply expansions. These services serve both billions of Amazon shoppers and millions of Advertisers internationally. We will be working on multiple cross-org architectural and business projects with highest impact and visibility – all are critical, forward-looking, strategic opportunities for Amazon. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
- Experience in Ad Tech / Digital Advertisement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
