Catalog Specialist - English/Italian, Merch on Demand

DESCRIPTION

Interested in making an impact on a fast growing and high-profile Amazon business? We are looking for a detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Catalog Specialist to perform content evaluation of design submissions for the Merch on Demand business. You will manage the processing of new submissions and re-submissions of content to ensure it meets Amazon’s high-quality bar as well as working with contacts that require special handling (Quality, Escalations, Cancellations). Above all, you will play a vital role in helping us meet and exceed our program’s selection expansion goals while protecting a high-quality customer experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Review incoming design submissions to ensure content adheres to Amazon’s content policies and high-quality bar
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes on issue tracking
- Support internal and external stakeholders across time zones to address content issues as required
- Handle contacts from content creators to help them resolve business queries
- Handle English to Italian translation requests as needed
- Identify and champion process improvement ideas to increase the productivity and quality of content operations
- Play a vital role in helping exceed daily and weekly catalog goals
- Swiftly pivot and adapt to new process changes as business needs dictate
- Own and prioritize work allocation based on business needs with a daily/monthly frequency
- Plan capacity and commit to volume by managing resources, queue, shift management, cross training, and leave management
- Report fluctuations in key metrics and communicate to key stakeholders with a plan of action as needed
- Demonstrates the ability to dive deep into a problem, perform root cause analyses and identify constraints to recommend solutions
- Ability to work a 9-hour, 5-day work schedule where you will be required to work 1 weekend day per week

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Fluent in Italian and English (speak, read, write)
- Comfort working with a broad range of technological productivity and work-flow management tools including Excel, Outlook, Quip, and Word
- Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to independently hit aggressive productivity goals with minimal supervision
- Written and verbal communication skills; the ability to partner with internal team members effectively
- Willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals
- Meticulous attention to detail; the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering your quality bar

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree; Concentrations in Language, Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Self-motivation and a strong bias for action; the ability to independently hit aggressive productivity goals with minimal supervision
- Keen knowledge of American and Italian pop culture, news, trends
- Ability to make the right decisions when there isn't an easy right answer
- Experience with SQL
