Department Overview ROC:
European ROC (Relay Operations Center) is the central control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon's European Transportation network, supporting both domestic and inter-country transportation movements for European geographies. The team is responsible for planning and scheduling the trucks/vehicles to be placed at each of our fulfillment centers across Europe, based on various factors such as forecast, historical trends, vehicles capacity and carrier capabilities. ROC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon's European transportation network and thereby has direct impact on Amazon's ability to serve customers on time.

Role Overview:
In this role the candidate will own the processes to ensure that team will meet goals of Speed, Service, Quality, and Cost. This role will bridge the gap between team and stakeholders to ensure both continuous improvements and optimization of operations through resolution of any potential issues within ROC, that impact customer experience and delivery performance on operations.



Key job responsibilities
Role Responsibilities include:
Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Carriers, Sites) and internal customers (Retail, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers) to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed.
Excellent communication, both verbal and written as will be required to create a narrative outlining of weekly/monthly findings
Ability to pull data from numerous databases and develop performance metrics (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems) and to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis to be shared and reviewed within the Team
Should be flexible to adapt to support a 24*7 operating environment
Willingness to work with flexible schedules/ shifts

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A degree
- Experience in Logistics, Supply chain or similar
- Knowledge of Excel
- Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English
- Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Masters (MS) in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Significant work experience in transportation/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce
- Advanced SQL Knowledge
- Relevant Analytics / Data Driven Business Decision Background
