Software Development Engineer (2 years contract), Japan Store Tech

As part of JST PF Incubation team, you will be architecting, developing large distributed systems that are reliable, maintainable and scalable. You will be frequently collaborating with product manager, tech team, operation team and other teams to quickly prototype, iterate at a fast pace and delight our customer. You will be practicing performance tuning, automatic system recover, fault detection and toleration on the Amazon cloud computing system. You will be leveraging modern technologies and engineering practice to provide creative, robust and scalable solution for our customer. You will have the opportunity to learn advanced AWS features in daily life.
A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
-Researching solutions for technically ambiguous problems;
-Designing, developing and maintaining services hosted in AWS;
-Adding new feature to existing product
-Improving performance and operational cost;

-Work with product manager closely to understand your customer's problem and clarify the requirement
-Collaborate with tech peers in and out of your team to architect, develop and maintain product
-Learn and apply new technology in your development
-Improve operation excellence, including performance, stability, reducing manual workload continuously
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
