Sr. Solutions Architect, GovTech ISV Modernization, WWPS GovTech SA

Job ID: 2776856 | Amazon Web Services, Inc.

DESCRIPTION

Are you passionate about helping organizations transform their applications into modern, cloud-native solutions? Do you thrive on tackling complex technical challenges and guiding customers through their digital transformation journey? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as an AWS Solutions Architect specializing in Modernization and Migration.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of helping our customers understand and implement the refactor approach to application modernization. You will work closely with customers to assess their existing applications, identify opportunities for improvements, and develop comprehensive strategies to rewrite and optimize their systems using AWS cloud technologies. Your expertise in microservices architecture, containerization, APIs, and AWS services will be crucial in guiding customers through the process of breaking down monolithic applications into scalable, flexible, and efficient cloud-native solutions.

As an AWS Solutions Architect, you will design and architect innovative solutions that leverage the full power of AWS services to meet our customers' business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create detailed migration plans, drive modernization strategy, conduct technical workshops, and provide guidance throughout the modernization process. Your role will involve not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This ensures customers understand the benefits and challenges of the chosen strategy and can make informed decisions about their modernization journey.

Internally, you will be the voice of the customer, sharing their needs and wants to inform the roadmap of AWS features.
In this role, your creativity will link technology to tangible solutions, with the opportunity to define cloud-native reference architectures for a variety of use cases. You will participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content and new reference architectures (e.g. white papers, code samples, blog posts) and evangelize and educate customers about AWS technology (e.g. through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos or conferences).

Travel Requirements: This role may require up to 30% travel.
