Surface Transportation org is expanding and introducing new capabilities to our Fleet Management business that supports all Middle Mile assets (tractors, trailers, box trucks, hostlers). In this role you will deliver world class solutions while wearing many hats and working in a highly collaborative environment that is more startup than big company. This role will require strong leadership skills and interaction/influence with teams across Amazon to drive the development of our maintenance business.

The role involves day to day interaction with senior Amazon leaders as internal customers, understanding their needs and converting them into efficient business models. The role requires regular interactions with multiple teams and jointly working with them to meet both short term and long term business needs. This position is a multi-faceted role requiring the ability to balance strategy and execution.

Key job responsibilities
This Product Manager will be responsible for consolidating technology requirements for the fleet management organization across teams, ensuring we prioritize effectively, and make informed trade-off decisions. You'll be the primary point of contact between multiple business units across the middle mile organization, consolidating business requirements into one unified vision, and distinguishing between immediate needs and foundational requirements. You'll work closely with internal tech partners to create the overarching technical vision for the team, align on a roadmap, and implement the plan. When possible, you'll benchmark our approach against industry standards and assist in buy vs. build decision-making.

A successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written skills with the ability to work across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. In order to achieve business goals, it will be required to evaluate short term solutions against the long term vision to strike a balance between bias for action and think big. A successful candidate will have deep experience working with (or developing) asset management software, as well as having will have the ability to work in a highly ambiguous state and create order where it may be lacking.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience in areas such as market research, statistics, finance or qualitative/quantitative research
- Experience in delivering end-to-end customer research studies, including study design, fieldwork (qualitative research moderation and survey execution), analysis, recommendations, reporting and presentation of results to senior leadership
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
- 5+ years of transportation asset management and maintenance experience, either as a business user or solutions provider

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
