ABOUT THIS ROLE
Based in Tokyo, Audible is looking for a Content Manager, Content Acquisition – 12 month Keiyaku Shain. You will support content development and deal-making and ensure all stakeholders (such as PR and marketing) at Audible are informed, aligned and operating effectively to maximize the value of content. Critical functions of this role will be supporting development of content provider relationships, deal making and content analysis, for the projects you work on.

As the Content Manager, Content Acquisition, you will...
- Evaluate, curate and identify appropriate content for the JP marketplace
- Work with global and APAC content leadership to build a world-class partner pipeline
- Support the management of relationships with assigned 'content holders', including publishers, providers and creators
- Drive commercial and partnership excellence within the organization (including original and 3rd party publisher strategy)
- Support new commercial and distribution models and future-proof all deals
- Work closely with the local and global Production and Operations teams to streamline workflow and build a seamless process between deal to launch
- Manage and evaluate content through performance tracking, industry knowledge and insights, and research in an effort to find the best content for our customers
- This role may support content projects for local and global opportunities and be responsible for all aspects of its set-up and completion

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience negotiating content deals and commissioning/licensing. Experience in contracting and ongoing management and/or support of project deliverables
- Knowledge of digital media landscape, popular/marketable materials, and social trends
- Experience using analytical and data led approaches for decision making
- Experience managing and scaling fast-paced/high-growth production environments

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Professional degree (minimum BA)
- English Language fluency. If you are not fluent, English language support is available
- Detail-oriented and data driven
- Highly organized and efficient
- Calm under pressure and good at team work
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Communicates effectively (oral and written) both internally and externally, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and ideas to a diverse group of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and change direction frequently
