We are seeking a passionate, talented, and experienced software engineer to help build high-volume, mission-critical applications that customers love. You will have the opportunity to develop full-stack features across frontend, backend, and recommendation systems. You'll partner with applied scientists to incorporate latest advancements in AI and LLM. And your work will be used daily by millions of people worldwide.

Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain key services and frontend features that enhance personalized customer experiences.
- Collaborate with peers to explore design strategies, prototype new technologies, and assess technical feasibility.
- Partner closely with Applied Scientists to process large datasets and generate content to power great customer experiences.
- Lead system architecture and advocate best practices for a quality infrastructure.
- Face challenging, unique and ambiguous scenarios daily, collaborating with various technical teams at Amazon.
- Gain expertise in cutting-edge technologies and algorithms, particularly in Generative AI, to enhance our pursuit of creating the ultimate shopping experience.

About the team
The Discover Innovation team mission is to delight customers by helping them discover the right content at the right time, tailoring the shopping experience to the customer’s intent and unique shopping preferences. We are a team of dedicated Scientists and Engineers working to develop trusted, knowledgeable, personalized, educational shopping experiences that help customers learn about and decide what they want to purchase.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
