AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Security Systems Engineering (AS2E) team provides operational support for 34 tier - 0 security services in US Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions. The team is focused on doing more with less by improving operational health and reducing manual toil for critical security services. The team supports services such as Midway, Isengard, SinglePass, and AmazonSSH, and continues to deliver on high-impact, high-visibility projects in Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Regions.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND (Certified Network Defender) or Network+ or Security+
- 1+ years of deploying and operating distributed systems at scale in a Linux environment
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years Linux scripting experience, with a working knowledge of either bash or z-shell
- DoD 8140 compliant certification (e.g. Security+, CISSP, etc), or equivalent experience
- Experience in securing cloud services

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
