A Supply Chain Analyst will be expected to influence network level decisions by partnering with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables them to support network planning and demonstrate the ability to think broadly about operational initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. They will work in with multiple business teams including FC operations, finance, supply chain, transportation operations, customs and others.

Key job responsibilities
- Analyzing and solving business problems with focus on understanding data deviations, their root causes, and driving forward-looking opportunities.
- Interacting with and influencing business customers to gather, calculate and present data.
- Understanding the business impact trends to make good quality data driven decisions.
- Develop automation solutions for reports, tools and processes
- Building short term operational plans to minimize variable costs.
- Communicating complex analysis and insights to stakeholders and business leaders, both verbally and in writing.
- Participate in initiatives and project roll outs to cater to growing business needs.


About the team
Amazon is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Analyst to join Global Logistics (GL) Network Planning team.

GL is a team of highly experienced logistics professionals, carrier specialists, and program managers focused on improving the speed and reliability of Amazon’s cross-border logistics capabilities.
The team is responsible for executing the timely movement of freight from global manufacturing hubs cross-border into Amazon’s international marketplaces for Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) sellers and Retail direct import vendors. Leveraging the capabilities of world-class logistics providers and internal Amazon supply chain solutions, Global Logistics increases selection and lowers cost for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
- Experience in supply chain
- Programming experience is a plus to automate tools whenever appropriate
