Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Solutions Architect in Seoul, Korea, who is passionate about helping our customers build infrastructures and applications at scale. AWS Solutions Architects are trusted advisors to our customers, helping them solve their most significant business challenges by designing and advising on some of the most scalable, flexible, and resilient solutions globally. Being a thought leader who creates and presents content, you will test traditional thinking by pushing the boundaries for your customers to dream and deliver beyond what they think is possible. You will have the opportunity to partner with customers early in their cloud journey and help them scale further, bringing visible and measurable impact to their growth ambitions in non-linear ways, using AWS as a building blocks.

Key job responsibilities
• Work directly with customers to accelerate their business outcomes and recommend best-practice cloud architectures in line with their long-term business needs, going beyond what they say and into what they need and developing new solutions that best match those needs.
• Act as a thought leader in the wider community, playing a key role in educating, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing white papers and blogs, and running workshops both in Korean and English

• Deeply understand AWS platform and architectural best practices. Especially, develop unique technical capability, be it specialized knowledge in database and analytics, with a good understanding of Container and AI/ML, which are in high demand.
• As a Builder, you’ll shape the direction of our products and services by gathering customer feedback while collaborating with our engineering and service teams.
• You will partner with Sales, Partners, Specialists, Service teams, and other AWS teams to craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of our services for Government, NPO, EdTech, University, and Healthcare industry domains.

About the team
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
- 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
- Knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Experience working within database and analytics (Hadoop, Spark, Data Warehouse).
- Good level of written and spoken English skills.
- Background in working with the public sector, such as government, non-profit organization, education, and healthcare customers.
