DESCRIPTION
AWS is looking for an Automotive & Manufacturing Business Development (BD) leader capable of driving market development for the Autonomous Driving/ADAS workload area leveraging the richness of the AWS cloud computing platform to address transformational opportunities with customers and partners in automotive and manufacturing.
Key job responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
• Work with industry leadership, workload, and service teams to shape and support new solution area strategies, business models, and partnerships to enable recurring revenue growth, scale, and customer success.
• Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer needs to develop business opportunities and identify potential projects.
• Develop/execute sales strategies, processes, and best practices across the business area and company.
• Inspire action with and through others across the sales and cross-functional, customer-facing account teams.
Operational Responsibilities
• Operationalize strategic priorities and initiatives for AV/ADAS to achieve business metrics and goals.
• Collaborate with account teams and work with customers in the sales process.
• Establish customer and partner relationships to generate new business opportunities.
• Identify/contact decision-makers, help qualify, and prioritize business opportunities, and lead/facilitate customer-facing pursuits.
• Act as industry and domain thought-leader both within AWS, Amazon, and externally; participating in first and third-party events as a speaker or panel participant.
• Help develop and position AWS services and/or industry offerings; support workshops with line-of-business leaders, stakeholders, and executives.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of successful experience in automotive and manufacturing industry in fields relating to autonomous driving and advance driver assistance systems (ADAS) areas with a focus on technology, business development, product and partner management, solution development, or venture investing experience in a corporate environment.
- 5+ years in the actual development of solutions for autonomous driving and advance driver assistance systems (ADAS).
- 5+ years of commercial business experience, identifying, developing, and executing successful partnerships e.g. complex technical/marketing deals, automotive technology-related transactions, and/or strategic technology relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or proven technical acumen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in global teams that have scaled partnerships and industry solutions.
- Understanding of automotive, IT/cloud services and architectures, automation, and mobility
- Thought leader with an understanding of automotive industry transformation and the role of technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust of customer executives and internal stakeholders
- Self-starter that excels in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
