Sr. Program Manager, Vendor Lifecycle, Fleet Advancement and Strategic Transformation

Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs across multiple verticals. This role requires scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive project management experience, combined with deep analytical capabilities and a keen sense of innovation, to lead complex projects from conception to completion.

As a (Senior) Program Manager with Amazon, you will have the opportunity to develop the business requirements and influence the success of these partners. In this role, you will own operational programs related to our vendors, and third-party partners and work to resolve operational issues. As a program manager you will work cross-functionally to drive customer centric programs. This role requires a deep need for stakeholder management, an ability to synthesize data and information, and communication across internal and external partners.
Key job responsibilities
• Manage and oversee various cross-functional programs, ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop and refine program strategies, effectively leading and motivating teams.

• Regularly communicate with senior managers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to support key business initiatives.
• Develop, implement, and oversee KPI reporting for a program portfolio, ensuring clear visibility of milestones and project performance.

A day in the life
Amazon is looking for a Senior Program Manager in the new Vendor Lifecycle Management team for Global Fleet and Products. This team is responsible for developing a new centralized approach to vendor management in the areas of vendor identification and selection, vendor contract negotiation and execution, vendor onboarding, vendor performance management, vendor risk management, operational excellence and continuous improvement, and vendor offboarding.
This role will support development of new processes for evaluating vendor performance, working cross functionally with each program and product team. This role will negotiate new contracts, and amend existing contracts. This role will standardize performance scorecards, develop new dashboards, merging new and existing data streams from our vendors and internal analytics teams. This role will stand up audit mechanisms and support risk assessments of third party vendors. This role will drive continuous improvement and cost efficiencies with vendors. This role will lead monthly and quarterly business reviews with strategic partners and vendors and internal leadership.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
