In creating a world class video shopping experience, we are doubling down on scaling our acquisition of video across creator types.

In order to create a world class video shopping experience, we need to show high quality videos to our customers. As the Principal Technical Program Manager on the Integrated Video Experiences (IVE) team, you will focus on a) partnering with WW teams across organizations to support video initiatives and improve the customer’s buying experience through shopping videos, b) influencing teams by managing large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed, and c) reducing the cost to serve and increasing the effectiveness of the teams that you work with through addition or reduction of mechanisms.

The ideal candidate is passionate about the success of both our video creators (Brands, Influencers, and Customers) and our customers, has exceptional communication skills, and excels in problem solving and building concensus when presented with discordant views. This role will act as the point of contact for partner teams to engage with IVE. Today IVE has 55 partner teams that have integrated with our software stack and 12 more partners that we engage with to drive roadmap alignment for the delivery of video features into their customer experiences. Many of these partners are country managers and so this role will have the unique position to Dive Deep and understand the individual needs of customers and creators in a given country so that we can tailor our experiences appropriately. This role will be an integrated part of our product leadership team so that we can have a tight feedback loop between our partners and our product team.

To succeed in the role, the candidate must be detail oriented, data driven, and organized to keep our partner relationships running smoothly. They must Earn Trust through their depth of knowledge about IVE’s business and capabilities, as well as through their level of transparency about the priorities of the business. They must thrive in ambiguous situations to map the needs of partner teams (and their customers) to IVE’s current and future capabilities.


Key job responsibilities
* Successfully manage all stages (from concept to delivery). Deliver challenging business goals and show measurable improvement in efficiency or experience for customers, employees/engineers, or business area.
* Build success criteria for your program and report on key progress metrics
* Understand the architecture of the systems you work with (e.g., workflows, APIs, runtime characteristics, design limitations, and maintenance requirements).
* Influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.
* Make a case for project priorities, resource allocation to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve an architecture deficiency, or unblock delivery.
* Communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
* Identify and partner successfully with customers, stakeholders, partners, and engineering teams.
* Proactively identify risks and anticipate bottlenecks, bringing them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
* Provide escalation management and balance business needs with technical and operational constraints to maximize business benefit.
* Champion program management best practices by creating project plans and communicating updates to stakeholders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Able to work independently and effectively with stakeholders in different time-zones.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $159,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $275,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
