Prime Video is looking for a Principal Global Content Policy Manager to join its Trust & Safety organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual contributor with experience working independently on a distributed and matrixed team, with a history of success working on high-stakes, high-impact policy development.
The role requires fast-paced research and writing, with a critical analysis of the scale and scope of policy. An ideal candidate will have worked in areas with a high degree of ambiguity and complexity, will be comfortable driving highly visible policy decisions on tight timeframes.
You will engage often with key senior level stakeholders while also partnering with Legal, Public Relations, Public Policy, Engineering, and the Prime Video Business teams to preserve customer Trust and Safety. You will also partner with Product and Tech teams to build strategies for long-term tooling to mitigate risk.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead development or revision of global policy guidelines for all content on PV to build a trustworthy customer experience.
• Implement standard operating procedures based on policy guidelines for operators.
• Lead discussions on policy calibrations by collaborating with Legal, Public Relations, Public Policy, Engineering, and Prime Video Business teams.
• Provide guidance on benchmarking and academic research to develop risk assessment frameworks.
• Strategically advise business and content teams on new content acquisitions by conducting risk assessments of new acquisitions
• Serve as a subject matter expert for product teams and provide business requirements to build internal analytical and moderation tools
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of industry experience working in content policy, public policy, policy communications, content compliance, safety or legal, with an emphasis on the technology industry.
- Prior experience working in an enterprise environment demonstrating the ability to solve ambiguous business challenges using sound judgment to drive strategy, actions and results.
- Prior experience partnering with cross-functional business teams for collaboration, consensus-building, identifying gaps and implementing solutions at scale
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent writing skills; ability to write high-quality policies and procedures in a simple, clear and concise manner
- Experience working as an individual contributor with high capabilities of managing through influence rather than direct authority.
- Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $214,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
