Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

We are seeking a Refrigeration Specialist who will be responsible for providing expert support and guidance to drive safety, performance and maintenance of refrigeration systems across a portfolio of sites. Additionally, networking and collaborating with partner teams to innovate and implement world class refrigeration solutions.


Key job responsibilities
Your role will involve:
- Remote Monitoring: Utilising advanced monitoring tools and software platforms to remotely monitor the performance and operational parameters of industrial refrigeration systems across multiple sites.
- Monitoring key metrics such as temperature, pressure, energy consumption, and system alarms to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Alarm Management: Responding promptly to system alarms and alerts, investigating the root cause of any deviations from normal operating conditions.
- Coordinate with on-site RME teams to address alarms and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain system integrity.
- Data Analysis: Analysing data collected from monitoring systems to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues with refrigeration system performance. Generating reports and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintenance Coordination: Working closely with the teams Scheduler and on-site RME personnel to schedule preventive maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for industrial refrigeration systems. Coordinate maintenance activities to minimise disruptions to operations while ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules and best practices.
- Documentation and Reporting: Utilising APM and maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, F-Gas logs, and troubleshooting efforts. Generate regular reports summarising system performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintenance Optimisation: Collaborate with field RME teams to develop and implement best practices for preventive and predictive maintenance of refrigeration systems.
- Conducting regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains in maintenance processes.
- Technical Support: Serving as a technical resource for the team’s escalation specialists, providing guidance on troubleshooting complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the escalation specialists and field teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Working with the wider GRT teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of refrigeration systems across the portfolio of sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and technologies.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Conducting regular audits to verify compliance and address any gaps or issues identified.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Significant experience in industrial refrigeration systems, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration principles, equipment, and components
- Familiarity with remote monitoring tools and systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or related field. Or an Apprenticeship in Refrigeration or similar.
