DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a data analyst with experience in tax and technology.
In this job, you will be expected to have data management experience, be able to research and analyze large datasets, have strong data querying skills, as well as tax and accounting knowledge to support indirect tax compliance teams across the globe.
You will also be working very closely with our technology partners, supporting complex data solutions and dashboards that underpin the reporting for Amazon indirect tax.

Key job responsibilities
Support indirect tax colleagues with data related questions:
• Improve existing processes by automating and reducing manual work.
• Extract data for ad-hoc queries where standard reports do not meet the requirements.
• Collaborate with our technology partners to innovate and maintain complex business and data solutions.
• Hands-on detailed data research and analysis of a large financial data sets; investigate, troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues.
• Implement projects to optimize data operations.
• Work with our key technology providers to support technology upgrades, migrations, etc.
• Create and maintain dashboards used by tax compliance.
• Define technical specifications based on business requirements and the analysis of the data.

Base pay for this position starts from EUR 2,500+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Intermediate SQL skills
- Experience with VBA, Python or other database language
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of accounting principles, processes, and entries

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree in relatged topic.
- Experience working in a tax related data field
