BIT-Apprenticeship
Exciting Opportunities Start Here!
Are you ready to build your future?
Amazon is looking for curious and enthusiastic people to join our Apprenticeship program in our operations team.
Whatever your background, qualifications or career aspirations, we have a place for you here. Your passion and talent will help Amazon continue to deliver and innovate for our customers; and we want to deliver and innovate for you too! We have big plans to help you grow into your best self and develop your career with us.
Apprenticeships are perfect if you want to combine theoretical learning with practical, hands-on experience (and a steady pay packet - all UK employees in and around London earn at least £10.50/hour, and £9.50/hour in the rest of the UK.). They are also a good way to go if you are looking to retrain and take your life in a brand new direction.
Amazon is proud to place diversity at the heart of all we do. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of gender, race, age, physicality, or sexual orientation all you will need is commitment, drive and a passion to grab all the opportunities that will come your way.
Join us on our 14 month BIT Apprenticeship scheme and you will be trained on our process paths while also growing your skills in crucial, complementary areas like safety first, problem solving, communication and project planning. Over the course of the apprenticeship you will be introduced to the fundamental operational excellence modules and will work towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Improvement Techniques.
You will build your skills over a 14 month period covering:
- Classroom based training workshops
- Amazon’s on-the-job training program, supported by a dedicated external coach
- 1:1 line manager reviews
- Health & Safety training
- Rotation around key business areas covering a broad range of process paths
Progression opportunities
Successful completion of this apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position in our operations team and from there a range opportunities will be available including supervisory and management roles across Amazon in the UK and abroad.
Your recruitment process will start with your online application (providing your CV as well as answering questions about the above basic qualifications) and will then take you onto online testing through one of our external training providers.
As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an on-site assessment center where they will visit the fulfillment center, participate in a group exercise and get a chance to present their profile, motivation and skills 1-on-1 during an interview.
